OBJECTIVES

NGII fully recognize the contributions of the PAIGH to the development of geographical names and geographic areas in the Americas. Moreover, we once again express our gratitude for the Republic of Korea government's membership to the permanent observer and support for its activities.

In 2020, the National Geographic Information Institute (NGII) planned a capacity building program on geographical names and geospatial information in Korea but delayed the program by a year due to COVID-19. With continued influence of the pandemic, however, the NGII decided to hold a webinar for the PAIGH members instead. The sessions planned at the webinar are as follows.
